Maptia partnership charts route to new storytelling platform for Jupiter's Travellers
The Ted Simon Foundation is delighted to announce Maptia as the latest organisation to become a media partner.
"Maptia believes stories can change the world. We couldn't agree more," said Executive Director, Iain Harper. "I've been deeply impressed by what the Maptia team are creating. Their intelligent, original and visually stunning approach to storytelling has great value and I'm excited that our Jupiter's Travellers will have the opportunity to contribute."
Maptia is run by a small team originally from England and now located in Taghazout, Morocco, and when the platform officially launched back in September the team described their aspiration to create a collaborative global story:
"We believe that if people from every country, every culture, and every background came together to share the stories of their lives and their travels, then the world would be a more understanding and empathetic place. We also believe that these stories will inspire people to get out there, to explore the places around them, to appreciate and care for the world, and to make the most of their short time on this planet."
Commenting on the new partnership, Jonny Miller, one of Maptia's co-founders, said, "The ethos of The Ted Simon Foundation resonated with us and we're proud to be a media partner. Maptia is a way to tell thoughtful and inspiring stories about places. We share the desire to promote adventurous empathy through storytelling and it feels like our values are absolutely aligned."
